History of SRC Programming in Galania
SRC established programming in Galania in mid-2003. The organization has a longstanding presence in displacement camps in Onara province where it operates across a variety of sectors (FSL, WASH, Education and, CP).
After the first ceasefire in 2008, it started operating in Malia through direct implementation but was later forced to continue to operate through a local partner due to security challenges.
SRC has been playing a strong advocacy role with UN agencies regarding the definition of durable solutions for IDPs as the conflict continues and more people are displaced across Galania due to the drought.
SRC have a head office in Bahdia, and a sub-office in Onara Town.
SRC has a national Child Protection Advisor based in Bahdia. There is a Child Protection Manager in Onara sub-office. The Child Protection Manager manages a team of Child Protection Officers to directly implement programming while concurrently provide technical support to the local partner.
